Gateway Software

PAYPAL and VirtualPayOnline

VirtualPayOnline has recently added the ability for you to accept PayPal transactions through your VirtualPayOnline payment gateway. This option gives you access to the millions of customers who use PayPal as their payment of choice, and integrates all of your transactions into one easy-to-use interface.

To allow PayPal as a payment option for your customers, please follow these steps:

  1. You must be using the Split Form for transaction processing.
  2. You will need a business PayPal account. To obtain this account please do the following:
    - Log into your Control Panel using your gateway ID and password
    - Click on "Account Settings"
    - At the bottom of your Account Settings you will see PayPal information
    - Click on the "PayPal for Business" image and complete the online setup with PayPal
  3. Finally, you will need to enter your PayPal account email address in the Account Settings. To do this, please return to your Gateway Control Panel and do the following:
    - Make sure you are in Account Settings
    - In the PayPal setup area click on the "PAYPAL" link (on the left)
    - Enter your PayPal email and click "Submit"

Once you have completed these three steps you will receive an email from us explaining one final step you'll need to take with your PayPal account.

When you have completed these steps your customers will be able to pay using their PayPal account. The option to use PayPal as the payment method will automatically appear in the Split Form during checkout. If you wish to deactivate PayPal as a payment option at any time, simply return to your Accounts Settings in the Control Panel and turn off PayPal as a payment option.
